Where Would I Go?
By businessbroad | December 30, 2006
Several people have asked me before - Where would you go if you were going to start a business and you could move anywhere? For me, I think that Las Vegas would be among the finalists. It’s the fastest growing city in the country, the weather is amazing, and Las Vegas homes are still quite reasonably priced (when compared to places like Los Angeles, especially). Many of the newer developments are even offering incentives to get people to move in - paid closing costs, help with the downpayment, or free upgrades to the property. Not bad.
Nevada is also said to be a very business-friendly state (the next Delaware, maybe?). Plus, the active population can’t help, especially if you’re in an industry that caters to the young and active. It might not be the best place to set up your hand-knit sweater store, but almost anything else could do well.
