What the Heck is a Nabaztag, and why would anyone want one?

Apparently, this is a Nabaztag:
It’s the latest strange, hot gadget, and it works with your wireless internet (which nearly everyone with any money at all has these days). The little guy can do a variety of things for you, including:
-Read the news (or any website)
-Alert you to new e-mails
-Sound effects
-Alert you to his moods
Basically, it’s something that no one NEEDS, but it would be easy enough to convince people that they need one. If you’re interested in carrying Nabaztag, it looks like you’ll have to use their contact form.
